Our Story
Our name reflects our roots: TAIwan + GERmany. We started TaiGer in 2017 as a small German–Taiwanese team with a simple idea: to make Germany’s excellent, affordable higher education accessible, and to ensure no student has to face the study abroad journey alone.
As former international students in Germany ourselves, we felt the uncertainty first-hand: overwhelming application processes, hidden expectations from German universities, and cultural gaps only insiders understand. What began with helping friends soon grew into a community.
Students and their families in Taiwan welcomed us into their stories, teaching us to listen deeply, simplify the confusing, and support them not just at admission, but through studies, careers, and beyond. Those experiences shaped our values: authenticity, excellence, courage, growth, and community.
