Studying in Germany is possible for many Filipino students, there are different paths to get there. What matters most are your educational background, language skills, and motivation.
Educational background: If you have completed K–12 in the Philippines, you are already on the right track. The Academic Track (especially STEM) is the most suitable because it is closest to the German high school qualification. But don’t worry if you finished another track — there are still many options depending on your situation and the university you want to apply to. This is where our expertise matters most: we will find possible pathways for you and guide you on the right next steps.
Language skills: You need to show proof of language ability. For English-taught programs, most universities accept IELTS or TOEFL (PTE is very limited in recognition). For German-taught programs, you’ll need certificates such as TestDaF or DSH.
Academic preparation & motivation: Admission can be competitive, so good grades, strong motivation, and a clear study plan are important. This is exactly where our expertise comes in — we help you present your motivation and study goals in a way that German universities value most. And even if your grades aren’t top of the class, don’t worry! There are still possible pathways we can guide you through to achieve your study ambitions.
Note: Every German university sets its own admission rules. Your pathway will always depend on the program you want to study. That’s why we work with you closely to find the best route for your background — so no matter where you’re starting from, you can turn your study-in-Germany dream into reality.

YES! At most public universities in Germany, there are no tuition fees for bachelor’s and master’s programs, even for international students. Students only need to pay a semester contribution of usually 150 - 200€ (≈₱9,975 - ₱13,300), which covers administrative costs, student services, and often public transportation tickets.
However, there are some exceptions:
Some federal states (e.g., Baden-Württemberg) charge tuition for non-EU students of 1,500€ (≈₱99,750) per semester.
Private universities charge tuition ranging from 4,000 to 8,000€ (≈₱266,000 - ₱532,000).
Even with these expectations, studying in Germany remains much more affordable compared to countries like Canada, the USA, or Australia.

On average, you should expect to spend around 10,500 – 16,000€ (≈₱698,250 - ₱1,064,000) per year as a student at a public university in Germany. This makes Germany one of the most affordable study destinations worldwide, offering excellent education and a high quality of life at comparatively low costs.
Here’s how that budget typically breaks down:
Semester contribution: 300€ (≈₱19,950) per year — covers administration, student services, and often a semester transport ticket.
Health insurance: 140€ (≈₱9,310) per month — gives you access to one of the world’s best healthcare systems.
Accommodation: 400–800€ (≈₱26,600 - ₱53,200) per month — depending on the city and housing options.
Groceries: 200–250€ (≈₱13,300 - ₱16,625) per month — affordable and high-quality food compared to many other countries.
Phone & internet: 15–20€ (≈₱998 - ₱1,330) per month — reliable mobile connection and data packages.
Personal spending: 100€ (≈₱6,650) per month — for clothing, leisure, sports, or other daily needs.
In combination with the high salary levels graduates can expect in Germany and internationally, the return on investment is excellent — making Germany one of the smartest choices for your studies abroad.

As a Filipino student, you will need a German student visa and later a residence permit to study in Germany. This stable and reliable system makes Germany very attractive, as you can study affordably and transition smoothly into a career and long-term stay after graduation.
Here’s what you should know:
You must first have an official admission letter from a recognized German university or a Studienkolleg.
You need proof of financial means. The most common way is a blocked account (Sperrkonto) with at least 11,904€ (≈₱791,600) per year (2025) deposited. Scholarship letters are also accepted.
You must prove sufficient language skills for your program. For English-taught programs, this usually means IELTS, TOEFL, or an equivalent test.
The student visa is usually valid for up to two years. After arriving, you must register with your city and apply for a student residence permit.
After graduation, you can apply for an 18-month job-seeker residence permit to find qualified work in your field. Once employed, you can transition to a work visa or even an EU Blue Card.
Bonus: A German residence permit lets you travel freely within the Schengen Area (26 European countries), making it simple to explore Europe during your studies and career.
-
Whether you stay in Germany or return to the Philippines, a German degree is a powerful investment in your future — offering strong employability, attractive salaries, and global career mobility.
High employability: German universities are known for academic rigor and practical training, making their graduates highly valued worldwide.
Career in Germany: After graduation, non-EU students can stay up to 18 months to find work and later transition to a work visa or EU Blue Card. Germany’s strong job market in engineering, IT, and business offers competitive starting salaries ranging from 45,000 to 65,000€ (≈₱2,992,500 - ₱4,322,500).
Gateway to Europe: A German degree and residence permit provide EU-wide mobility, opening doors to careers across Europe.
Career in the Philippines: Returning home, graduates stand out with international experience. Multinationals like Siemens, Bosch, Bayer, Allianz, SAP, and Lufthansa value German-educated talent, often leading to faster promotions and higher salaries.
